The pressure on the environment continues to increase. Habitat loss and degradation from agriculture and infrastructural development, over-exploitation of natural resources, pollution, loss of biodiversity, ozone depletion, outbreak of deadly diseases etc, remain the predominant threats. For far too long, we have left this subject for political debates (such as the climate change

LASSA FEVER: A transmittable virus which is caused as a result of contamination of materials such as food or household items, infected by the urine or excreta of rats and transferred to humans.
Infected people spread this virus through contact with contaminated body fluid and waste products.
Prevent the spread of the virus by;
• Maintaining a clean environment
• Dispose waste properly
• Mind what you touch and Wash hands frequently with soup and clean water or use hand sanitizer
• Improve personal hygiene
• Store foodstuff or grains in rodent free zones and proof containers especially those that we eat raw(Garri)
